KFA to pay salaries, re-enter IATA's billing system soon

Kingfisher Airlines (KFA) will soon re-enter the International Airport Transport Association (IATA) distribution platform shortly, CNBC-TV18 has learnt. The airline which has been in news for non-payment of dues to several agencies has also said that it will start clearing salary dues of January from Wednesday onwards.

Two months ago, IATA had suspended KFA from its account settlement system due to non-payment of fees. .The industry group's clearing house, ICH (IATA’s clearing House), settles accounts between the world's airlines, airline-associated companies and travel agencies.

That time KFA had said it could not settle the dues as its bank accounts have been deactivated by tax authorities.

The airlines pilots had also threaten to strike work a few months ago due to non-payment of salaries
