Honda plans to tap the mass segment with the launch of the Dream Neo and plans to increase capacity to 46 lakh units by the year-end, YS Guleria, VP - sales and marketing, HMSI told CNBC-TV18.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India (HMSI) on Tuesday launched its bike, the Dream Neo, in Maharashtra. Talking to the media on the occasion, YS Guleria, VP - sales and marketing, HMSI said that the company was targeting a sale of 8 lakh units this fiscal for the mass segment.
"We're planning to sell 8 lakh units in the mass 100-210cc category for this financial year. The production capacity, from 40 lakh units, will be increased 46 lakh by end of this year. Our target is 39.3 lakh units with a growth of 43 percent over last year," YS Guleria told CNBC-TV18.
