Cobra Beer today launched in Mumbai, India's finest strong beer "King Cobra", manufactured and bottled in India. King Cobra is being added to Cobra's portfolio of extra smooth, less gassy, incredibly drinkable premium beers. The lager has 6.9% alcohol content with 650 ml bottles priced at Rs. 47.5/- and 330 ml at Rs. 25/-in Maharashtra.

 

The Indian brewed King Cobra is currently being marketed in Rajasthan and will be rolled out across India in the states of West Bengal, Daman, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh over the next four months.

 

King Cobra is brewed using the finest natural ingredients, a unique blend of barley malt and yeast with imported maize, hops and rice. A strong beer of superior quality, it is targeted at discerning beer drinkers - connoisseurs of both superior brews and fine cuisine. 

 

According to Karan Bilimoria, CBE, DL, Founder and Chief Executive of Cobra Beer, "We are delighted with King Cobra - in our opinion it is the finest strong beer ever produced. Cobra's strong beer is amazingly drinkable and a grand accompaniment to any meal. Over the past one year, we have successfully carved out a niche for Indian-brewed Cobra Beer and now with King Cobra, we are ready to address the taste buds of the strong-beer lovers, who make up almost 70% of the Indian beer market,"

 

"I am delighted to announce that Maharashtra's beer lovers will now be able to enjoy King Cobra brewed in India. I am pleased to say that we have worked out a foothold for ourselves in the Indian market and we shall now seek a more aggressive presence across markets," comments Karan.
