It is a good platform for interaction between government, policy makers, and investors, said Abhishek, who believes such platforms are helpful for networking and investors become aware of the kind of support the government provides.
Speaking at the same event Pankaj Patel of Zydus Cadila said that the company plans to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government for the pharma and hospital business expansion.
Sunil Kanoria of Srei Infra said that the company is looking at the ports, parks industrial SEZ areas in Gujarat for business.
The industry is looking for rollout of goods and services tax (GST), which has the potential to be a game changer for the industry and will help in creating single market, said Naushad Forbes, president of CII.
At the summit, many others kept a positive stance for the Indian economy post the demonetisation period. JN Singh Chief Secretary, Gujarat said there has been no dampening due to note ban and that they are in the process of signing 24 Memorandum of understanding (MOUs).
"We are doing a lot for Gujarat as it is an important state for us, said Anup Bagchi ED of ICICI Bank. He also said that the demonetisation pressure will pass over soon.
BK Goenka Chairman, Welspun Group said they are signing 3 MOUs and investing Rs 4,000 crores in Gujarat.
