NMDC has raised prices of fines by Rs 100 per tonne in the month of December in line with the skyrocketing international prices, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources. The price of fines after the revision is around Rs 1,860 per tonne.
There has been no revision in prices of lumps, though, which is unchanged in December at Rs 2,100 per tonne.
Fines contribute roughly 65-70 percent of total sales while lumps make up for the balance. While the prices of fines had been on the rise the company refrained from price revisions in November.
JSW Steel is one of the major customers of NMDC and may see some impact due to the price increase.
