Citigroup likely to hike global IT budgets for '12: Sources

Citigroup is planning to roll out its new budget for FY12 soon. The company may hike its global IT budgets for the next fiscal year to USD 1.6 billion from USD 1 billion, report CNBC-TV18 quoting sources.

According to the sources, Citigroup's new budget incorporates special provisions for various services. The new budget will include USD 100 million for managed services, USD 60 million for security services and USD 250 million for information management systems (IMS) in three geographic fields.

The company is likely to launch three new deals by July this year and it expects large Indian IT players to bid for these deals. The bidding is likely to begin by March this year, added sources.
