After the great success of its 1st edition of Food & Bev Tech 2006, CII is organizing its 2nd International Exhibition and Conference for the Indian Food and Beverages Industry, Food & Bev Tech 2008 scheduled on 13th-15th November 2008, in Mumbai under the Chairmanship of Mr Piruz Khambatta, Chairman, CII National Committee on Food Processing and CMD, Rasna Pvt. Ltd.

 

The exhibition will bring together the manufacturers and suppliers of process plant and equipment for the growing industry, all under one roof. The exhibition will provide an excellent platform for services providers to showcase their products and services to decision makers from leading food & beverage manufacturers.

 

The event aims at providing an excellent platform to showcase the latest machinery, equipment, raw materials & accessories required by the Indian food and beverages manufacturing industry.

 

CII vision for Food processing is to position India as a major global player in the processed food sector. The sector has experienced a remarkable growth over the last few years. Food processing Industry in India has emerged as one of the most promising sector for investors to invest and undoubtly the sector has experienced a remarkable growth.

 

Food & Bev Tech 2008, International Exhibition, will showcase the latest production machinery, raw materials, packaging equipment, auxiliary equipment & accessories required by the Food & Beverage manufacturing industry.

 

Food & Bev Tech 2008, International Exhibition, is supported and endorsed by a galaxy of over 13 associations ie Indian Stainless Steel Development Association, Fragrances and Flavours Association of India (FAFAI), All India Food Processors' Association, Poultry Processors Association, All India Distillers Association, Association Of Food Scientists & Technologies, National Association of Bakery Industry, Federation of Biscuit Manufacturers Association, The Soyabean Processors Association of India, The Seafood Exporters Association of India, Indian Institute of Packaging, Oil Technologists Association of India (Western Zone) and Indian Biscuits Manufacturers Association serving the Food & Beverage Industry. 

                                               

Speaking at the exclusive press conference, the Chairman of the 2nd International Exhibition and Conference, Mr. Piruz Khambatta, Chairman & Managing Director, Rasna Pvt Ltd said, the 1st edition was hailed as India's first ever focused technology show for the Food & Beverage Processing Industry.

                                                                                     

Food & Bev Tech 2008, International Exhibition, has received an overwhelming response from leading National companies  ie Blue star, HRS Process, Rinac, Testo, FMC Technologies , Goma Engineering, Srujann, Siemens, ABB, Pennwalt Ltd, Ruchi Soya, Beri Cap, Perks Engineering, Domino Print Tech, Frick India, to name a few along with Pavilions from Italy and South East Asian Countries. 

 

Mr Khambatta also mentioned that "Food Processing can do for Rural India, What IT has done for Urban India". 

The food processors must give thrust on improved technology to ensure health food and food supplements to meet the changing consumer demands globally.  Processed efficiency in food industry could be achieved by incorporating advanced technologies that lower unit cost and improve over all product quality, contributing to higher profits. 

The food processing industries should make major strides from traditional to modern technologies for processing agricultural products. With globalisation of economy the country is now obliged to meet international safety and quality standards to survive in the global market.  The future development of the food processing industries would depend on technological progress and energy efficiency.

It is high time that India applied better technologies to prolong the shelf life of vegetables and fruits and improve the packaging machinery and cold storage system to facilitate better processing of our agricultural products.

Innovative Product Pavilion: It is CII's initiative to ensure that industry is abridged of the latest innovative developments as innovation is the key to success. This pavilion would highlight product innovation & latest manufacturing trends developed by companies for the food & beverage processing industry.

  

Buyer-Seller Meet: Leading companies will come and give their sourcing requirements.

 

Bakery Pavilion: To promote bakery as one of the important sectors in today's Indian Food and Beverage Industry, CII along with National Association of Bakery Industry (NABI) has jointly proposed a Bakery Pavilion. The above pavilion will provide an excellent platform to showcase latest technology and industry trends in the Bakery manufacturing Industry. CII and NABI could jointly promote this pavilion at the mega event to get all the bakers and key decision makers from the above segment to come and visit the exhibition.
