China’s Dongfang Electric has entered into a USD 2.5 billion deal with Nagpur-based mining, steel and power company Abhijeet. Dongfang has signed a supply contract with the Abhijeet Group, which is setting up power units in Jharkhand.
Dongfang, which is in talks with JSW and Adani Power for more deals, will supply 10 units of 660 megawatt super critical units. The company has also signed a contract with KSK Power Ventures for supply of 249 megawatt wind power equipment. The contract is valued at USD 250 million.
