Cement biz will continue to be main focus: Binani Cem
Binani Cement has made a foray into the real estate sector. The company is all set to develop an IT park on a 56-acre land in Thane. In an interview with CNBC-TV18 its MD Vinod Juneja, threw light on the company’s new foray.
Q: We were given to understand that you are developing an IT park jointly with a partner. Could you throw some more light on that?
A: As I was mentioning, we have got various options and one of the option was an IT park. We are still going with all the options. Our Board will meet some time next month. At that time we will decide. The IT park is one of the options. We have other options like school, college etc.
But we are not going to set up any industrial park. We are thinking how to work it out. This land is in our books. It is in our balance sheet. We want to utilize it in an optimal way which fundamentally enhances the value of our group company.
