eBay India, India’s leading online marketplace, in association with the Goa Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA), offers an array of interesting memorabilia of reigning Bollywood actors for auction as a preview of the celebration of the World Animal Week.
GSPCA has approached many celebrities such as John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Soha Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgan, Bohman Irani and Raveena Tandon to donate their special belongings for auction on the eBay India website (www.ebay.in).
Their appeal received an enthusiastic response from the celebrities who have come forward generously to donate special items and memorabilia from their wardrobe. All the proceeds from the exclusive charity auctions undertaken on the eBay India Charity platform will be used by GSPCA to provide food, shelter and medical care for stray and wild animals at the Socrates Oliver Veterinary Hospital based in Goa.
John Abraham’s cap – A stunning red and black Yamaha Cap of Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham. Presented to John by Yamaha Motors, the cap also has the embroidered signature of John Abraham.
Bipasha Basu’s bracelet – A funky bracelet with green and white stones fitted in brass mould with intricate embellishments from Bipasha’s personal collection.
Ajay Devgan’s movie wardrobe - This unique set of white shirt and trousers were a part of Ajay Devgan’s wardrobe in 2005 hard-hitting blockbuster Apaharan.
Katrina Khaif’s movie wardrobe – A fuchsia pink top worn by the gorgeous Katrina in the forthcoming movie – Humko Deewana Kar Gaye.
Raveena Tandon’s gharara – An item very close to ravishing Raveena’s heart , as she was presented with this golden Gharara by her mother on her birthday. Designed by none other than Anna Singh, the piece comes with a personalized note by Raveena to the buyer.
Soha Ali Khan jeans - Sequined black & white backless top with black cotton jacket and designer jeans from Soha’s personal collection.
Bohman Irani’s eyewear – Hot sunglasses from Rayban from the personal collection of Bohman Irani.
Lynn de Souza, Chairperson and Managing Trustee of the Goa SPCA said, “We are extremely grateful for the generosity and compassion showed by all celebrities who have donated memorabilia to us for this auction. The proceeds will be used to treat injured street and wild animals at our hospital, and for the upkeep of abandoned animals at our shelter".
eBay India Charity Fundraising programme is a special section dedicated to non-profits and enables recognized charities to create awareness, raise funds and also list products and merchandise for sale to millions of global and Indian users.

Over 18 charities are listed on the eBay India site. Recently, eBay India had organized “A day on the sets with Priyanka Chopra”, which received an enthusiastic response from bidders from around the world and an amount close to 2 lakhs was collected for the NGO Nanhi Kali that works for the education of the girl child.
