Crorepatipage.com has listed some exciting and exclusive pixels on its site up for auction on eBay India, India’s leading online marketplace. Designed on the lines of the famous “Million-dollar page”, Sunaina Bansal, an Indian housewife, has listed a small slice of her Web site crorepatipage.com for Indian companies to advertise by booking 1 element of 16 units/square or multiple units.
Crorepatipage.com hopes to offer advertisers an infinite return on their minimal advertising spend, and benefiting surfers via its discounted shop concept, such that surfers and genuine shoppers repeatedly visit the site, and advertisers experience maximum increase in hits and actual revenues. The auctions start as low as INR 100 for 16 units/squares and 25 units/squares (each unit/square is 10X10 pixels). Available are pixels at the centre of the page or at the co-ordinates of the buyer’s choice.
Sunaina Bansal from crorepatipage.com said, “Crorepatipage.com is pioneering the concept of pixel advertising in India. he site has already received a significant response and about 25 companies like Kirloskar group, Rediff.com, Shaadi.com, Badhai.com and IndiaMART.com etc., have bought pixels on the Web site.”
One million pixels are on offer for Rs 10 each and they will remain active for a minimum period of five years. These pixels can be bought only in 100 pixel-squares measuring 10X10 pixels. The page has been designed to have 10,000 such 100-pixel squares, which aggregate to one million pixels.
Rathin Lahiri, Head-Marketing, eBay India states, “The growing popularity of the internet is revolutionsing and expanding the options of advertising. Increasing number of brands are now looking at it as a perfect medium to gather visibility and extend their reach. We believe eBay India, with its 2 million strong community can further fuel the expansion of Crorepatipage.com with Indian corporates.”
