Bharti Airtel , India's leading telecom service provider today announced an alliance with Selecto Systems as a preferred partner for providing telecom network infrastructure and services for its IT SEZ-Haryana Technology Park (HTP) located 3 kms from Delhi on NH2 to Agra in Haryana. The HTP, a notified SEZ, is promoted by Selecto Systems Pvt. Ltd. and technically assisted by Paharpur Business Centre & Software Technology Incubator Park (PBCTM-STIP). Under the MoU, Airtel has being assigned the "Preferred Telecom Service Provider" status and will be given preferential rights to establish and provide telecom infrastructure and services at the HTP.
The HTP is being built on 1.65 million square feet area as the world's most energy efficient commercial building that will be ready for occupation on January 1, 2010 and will service 30,000 users. It will be a fully fitted, equipped and serviced facility suited for international IT, KPO and BPO firms. As a part of the MoU, Airtel will be laying the telecom network infrastructure at the SEZ thus ensuring that all the SEZ clients have access to world class telecom services. Airtel will also establish a dedicated help center to address the telecom requirements of the SEZ clients. Announcing the MoU, Mr. Milan Rao, Chief Operating Officer-North, Airtel Enterprise Services said, "We at Airtel are pleased to partner with Selecto Systems in their endeavour to make HTP the preferred destination for the IT industry. The partnership provides us an opportunity to ensure that the customers at the SEZ are offered the strongest and best in class telecom services." He added, "Having repeatedly demonstrated our expertise in setting up complex and extensive telecom projects for both government and large Enterprises across India, we are confident of catering to the widespread communication requirements of corporates who will be clients of the SEZ. Airtel will also be in a unique position to best address the global connectivity requirements of IT/ITeS majors owing to its extensive international footprint and access to multiple cable systems."
Airtel aims to equip the Haryana Technology Park with world-class data, fixed voice and mobile services. Companies at the SEZ will also be able to safeguard themselves against any unforeseen disasters by having access to back up their critical business data and applications through the business resiliency and continuity services offered by Airtel. Airtel Enterprise Services has repeatedly demonstrated its capability to effectively manage the complexities involved in large projects. The company also entered into a first-of-its kind alliance with the Adani group for setting up the Telecommunications Network Infrastructure for its multi-sector Special Economic Zone (SEZ) located at Mundra port.
