Barclays , known for its innovative services, brings yet another new product to customers in India: the country's first Barclays Platinum Debit Card. This is an international debit card loaded with a host of benefits offered by VISA under its Platinum Debit Card programme. These benefits include attractive cash withdrawal facilities and a range of premium benefits on dining, golf, travel, shopping and other services. 

 

Barclays customers can spend up to Rs. 100,000 on their Barclays Platinum Debit Card per day. Alternatively, they can withdraw up to the same amount from an ATM per day. Barclays Platinum Debit Card customers enjoy unlimited cash withdrawals from more than 23,000 VISA and VISA Plus ATMs and 325,000 stores across India. Additionally, customers can use the card while travelling overseas to withdraw cash from more than 1 million ATMs or make purchases at over 13 million stores.

-         Special dining privileges, ranging from complimentary aperitifs and desserts, to special menus and private dining experiences at some of the country's finest restaurants

-          Exclusive access to 200 of the world's most celebrated golf clubs

-          Benefits from the VISA Platinum Club, which include an array of exclusive privileges from numerous international partners reputed for their excellence. For example, these include room upgrades at top hotels, exclusive shopping gifts, and special rates on car rentals  

-          Concierge Services available 24x7 on many lifestyle services

-          Free services under the VISA Global Customer Assistance Service, which assists customers travelling abroad when their credit cards have been lost or stolen, when they need emergency cash, or when any other information is needed

-          Discounts on premium products including some of India's leading fashion labels, luxury watches, and jewellery among others

-          In addition, customers are eligible for lost card liability insurance of up to Rs. 50,000 and air accident insurance of up to US $50,000.
