Avaya GlobalConnect net profit at Rs 5.29cr

Avaya GlobalConnect Ltd., one of India's leading Intelligent Communications solutions provider, has announced its quarter results for quarter ended 31st March 2008. The company has recorded Gross Sales/Income of Rs. 142.65 Cr and a net profit of Rs.5.29 Cr as compared to the Gross Sales/Income of Rs. 162.43 Cr and a net profit of Rs.9.48 Cr, in corresponding previous period. The profit before tax (PBT) reported for quarter ended March-08 stands at Rs 8.75 Cr as compared to the profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 13.68 Cr for the corresponding previous period.

 


The Company has recorded Consolidated Gross Sales/Income of Rs. 154.74 Cr and Consolidated net profit of Rs. 4.14 Cr for quarter ended March-08. The Consolidated profit before tax (PBT) stands at Rs. 7.60 Cr.

 

During H1FY08, Company has recorded Gross Sales/Income of Rs. 282.03 Cr.  Profit before tax (PBT) reported for the period for H1FY08, stands at Rs.19.75 Cr and the net profit for the same period is Rs. 12.15 Cr.

 

During H1FY08, Company has recorded Consolidated Gross Sales/Income of Rs. 313.13 Cr.  Consolidated Profit before tax (PBT) reported for the period for H1FY08, stands at Rs.18.61 Cr and the net profit for the same period is Rs. 11.01 Cr.

 

Major Highlights: Quarter ended on 31st March, 2008

    

The company has recorded Gross Sales/Income of Rs.142.65 Cr. and a net profit of Rs. 5.29 Cr.
 
The profit before tax (PBT) reported for this quarter stands at Rs.8.75 Cr and the net profit for the same period is Rs. 5.29 Cr.
 

Commenting on the company’s results, Niru Mehta, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Avaya GlobalConnect said, “Since our last fiscal year, we have seen a shift and broadening in the industries investing in our product and service offers. The domestic hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and healthcare industries have increased their purchases compared to the IT, ITeS and Financial Services companies. This expansion of our customer base is a result of work we began two years ago to focus on building our reputation and sales among a more diverse group of customers.  Within our product areas, IP telephony and conferencing solutions sales have increased, reflecting this focus, as well as companies using our IP communications to improve their business processes.”
