Auto sales zoom In Jan; Car, two-wheeler up: SIAM
SIAM has released auto sales numbers for January. Passenger car sales in the domestic market rose around 7% to 1.96 lakh units versus 1.82 lakh units in the same month last year, according to the data released today.
Passenger car sales in the domestic market rose around 7% to 1.96 lakh units versus 1.82 lakh units in the same month last year, according to the data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
SIAM's data showed that commercial vehicles (CV) too saw a strong rise of 13.5% to around 70,000 units versus 61,500 units YoY.
In the two -wheeler space, total sales jumped 13.6% to around 11 lakh units.
Meanwhile motorcycle sales showed a robust growth at around 8.25 lakh units.
