Auto majors meet ministers to discuss alliance

Suzuki and Nissan's top brass are in the capital and they have met the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister P Chidambaram, the Commerce Minister and the Heavy Industries Minister, reports CNBC-TV18.

Sources suggest that the details of the Suzuki-Nissan alliance are close to being finalised. Nissan is also likely to use India as an export base.
