Aurobindo Pharma Ltd said on Monday it got approval for its abbreviated new drug submission for topiramate tablets from Health Canada.
Topiramate tablet is the generic equivalent of Canadian firm Janssen-Ortho Inc's Tapomax tablets, it said in a statement to the BSE.
Topiramate tablets are indicated as adjunctive therapy for patients with partial onset seizures and falls under the central nervous system therapeutic category, it added.
