Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Lamotrigine tablets.
The tablets are generic equivalent to Lamictal of GlaxoSmithKline and fall under central nervous system segment.
They are indicated as adjunctive therapy for partial seizures and generalised seizures of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in patients aged two years and older and for conversion to monotherapy in adults with partial seizures.
The product would be launched soon, the Hyderabad-based company said in a release.
