Ansal Properties & Infrastructure Limited, a leading real estate developer in India today signed an agreement with Fortis Healthcare Holding Limited, for setting up a world class Medicity at Ansal API Sushant Golf City in Lucknow.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Pranav Ansal, Director, Ansal API and Mr. Shivinder M. Singh, Managing Director, Fortis Group.
Under the agreement Ansal API and Fortis have joined hands to set up Fortis facility for medical treatment and teaching at the Sushant Golf City, Lucknow.
Spread over 52 acres of land, in the lush green Hi-tech city, the world class Medicity will be completed in about 7 years. The Medicity will have an 800 bed ultra modern hospital along with teaching facilities. The Medical College will offer undergraduate medical courses, specialized post graduate and post doctoral courses. There will be a Dental College as well providing both undergraduate and post graduate dental education. The Nursing College in the Medicity will offer graduate, post graduate and post doctoral nursing education.
In addition, the Medicity will have a College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a College of Rehabilitative Medicine, and also a College of Allied Medical Science offering Para medical and technical training. The college of pharmacy will also offer graduation, post graduation and doctoral education. The entire facility will be based on the norms set by Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, Rehabilitation Council of India and Pharmacy Council of India. In sum the Medicity planned will be a unique one in the country unmatched by any other facility existing or planned.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shivinder M. Singh, Managing Director, Fortis Group said, "Since we started operations in 2001, we have focused on delivering compassionate patient care with the help of the finest medical talent available. The Fortis Medical and Healthcare Education Hub aspires to identify and nurture budding talent in the medical domain. It is a concept that combines a composite hospital set up with several medical teaching institutions, allowing doctors to both practice and spend time on teaching. We are happy to partner Ansal API in this venture."
