Alstom, HCC win euro 285 million hydro power contract

Alstom in consortium with Hindustan Construction Co (HCC) has won a contract worth over euro 285 million from Tehri Hydro Development Corp to install 1,000 mega watt hydro power plant in Uttarakhand state.

Alstom in consortium with Hindustan Construction Co (HCC) has won a contract worth over euro 285 million from Tehri Hydro Development Corp to install 1,000 mega watt hydro power plant in Uttarakhand state.

Alstom said its share of the contract is around euro 180 million. The French power and train infrastructure company will supply four 250 mw variable speed turbine and generator units and other equipment for the hydro power plant.

Shares of Alstom Projects India closed down 2.3% at Rs 512.15 on NSE. HCC shares ended flat at Rs 31.90 on Thursday.
