Aksh Optifibr e in the small cap space jumped 17% today on the back of news that BSNL has launched its fibre to home service in Jaipur and Aksh Offshore has enabled that facility.

Kailash Chaudhary of Aksh Opti Fibre said in an interview to CNBC-TV18 that the company, which primarily manufactures and exports fibre optic cables and has forayed into service of fibre-to home, IPTV, will provide all the content service in the BSNL partnership where BSNL would be the prime service provider. It is a prepaid service, so the revenues would be collected by Aksh and shared with BSNL. The revenue sharing, Chaudhary said was dependent on the capital expenditure.

"After the successsful launch of Jaipur we will look forward to adding more cities," he said.

"The last mile service including customer acquisition lies with Aksh, and hence a significant amount of revenue share will be ours" Chaudhary said.

He however did not comment on the exact extent of revenue share.
