Ajanta Pharma continues its growth, Q3 Sales grows 27%

Ajanta Pharma Limited, a global pharmaceutical company posted a healthy growth of 27% in sales for the quarter ended 31st December, 2005 with sales of Rs 52.16 crores as against Rs 40.97 crores for previous year same quarter. The total sales for the nine-month period were at Rs 134.00 crores against Rs 109.37 crores in the same period of previous year indicating a growth of 23%.

Ajanta Pharma’s profit after tax has increased 56% for the quarter to Rs 2.40 crores compared to same period of previous year which was Rs 1.54 crores. Profit after Tax for the nine month period stood at Rs 4.88 crores against Rs  3.42 crores for previous year same period.

Ajanta Pharma continues to launch more products and add more countries to its portfolio. During the last quarter, it filed 84 dossiers, which will help the company to continue its growth in the international market.
