Air India now plans to enter the low cost domestic airline market. In an exclusive interview to CNBC-Awaaz, V Thulasidas said Air India Express would start a few domestic flights this year.
" This will be low cost with a difference. Even in the international sector, we are a low cost airline with a difference. For example- though we are low cost, we serve food. It may not be full service, but some food is served. We have in flight entertainment. Now, when we come into the domestic market, it is going to change the game completely," said V Thulasidas, CMD, Air India.
