Air India signs agreement with Alteon

Air India today signed an agreement with Alteon Training, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company. Alteon will  deliver a Boeing 737NG and Boeing 777 simulators to Air India’s facility in Mumbai.   The agreement was  signed by Capt.P.P.Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Air India Charters Ltd., and Ms.CHRISTINA BOHL of ALTEON.  The   Simulator will be used primarily to support the operations of Air India Express. 

 


The new Boeing 737NG simulator is scheduled to arrive in Mumbai by the end of November 2006 and would be installed in Air India Operations building and certified by the end of January 2007.  This will be followed by the  Boeing 777 simulator which will be delivered in November 2007 while the Boeing 787 simulator will arrive in India early 2008.

 

“At Air India, we are rapidly expanding our fleet to meet the increasing demands of air travel in India and we have been working closely with Alteon to identify and develop the most suitable training solutions for our new airplane orders said,  CAPT.T.MANILAL, General Manager-Training of Air India.. “We are pleased with the creative solutions Alteon is providing to us so that pilots and crew will be well trained and ready to operate the new aircraft in a safe and efficient manner when they are delivered.”

 

“Air India has committed to a large airplane order consisting mostly of Boeing s and Boeing s and Boeing 737NGs  and Alteon has been working closely with them to ensure that we continue to satisfy their training needs,”  said, Sherry Carbary, Alteon president.
