Air India today signed an agreement with Alteon Training, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company. Alteon willdeliver a Boeing 737NG and Boeing 777 simulators to Air India's facility in Mumbai.The agreement wassigned by Capt.P.P.Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Air India Charters Ltd., and Ms.CHRISTINA BOHL of ALTEON.TheSimulator will be used primarily to support the operations of Air India Express.
The new Boeing 737NG simulator is scheduled to arrive in Mumbai by the end of November 2006 and would be installed in Air India Operations building and certified by the end of January 2007.This will be followed by theBoeing 777 simulator which will be delivered in November 2007 while the Boeing 787 simulator will arrive in India early 2008.
