Commemorating the third anniversary of the dawn of a new era of air travel for India’s common man, Air Deccan, the country’s second largest airline, today announced a new customer initiative – PNR ‘00’, ‘50’. Kicking off celebrations all through the month of August, to mark its inaugural Bangalore – Hubli flight on August 23rd, 2006, Air Deccan, India’s No.1 low cost airline, announced that any lucky passenger whose PNR number ends with ‘00’ or ‘50’, will win a free air ticket from Air Deccan.
Declared Capt. Gopinath, Managing Director, Air Deccan, “India, as a country got its independence on August 15, while the Indian, as an air traveler, truly got his independence on August 23rd, with the launch of Air Deccan. This is perhaps no coincidence and we at Air Deccan are happy to share & celebrate the true spirit of independence with India’s common man with our special offer!”
Under the PNR ‘00’, ‘50’ offer, effective August 1, 2006, should the PNR of any Air Deccan ticket purchased for travel in the month of August (Between 2nd August 2006- 31st August 2006), end with ‘00’ or ‘50’, the lucky traveler can take off again with a free Air Deccan ticket on any sector, any flight of his choice!
What’s more, travelers can win as many free tickets as the number of passengers traveling on the lucky PNR!
And the icing on the cake --- the free tickets are transferable i.e. travelers can either use the tickets themselves or can even gift it to anyone they choose to!
The redemption on the free tickets won in once-in-a-lifetime offer is valid for 1 year (until 31st July 2007).
Adds John Kuruvilla, Chief Revenue Officer, Air Deccan, “We have capitalized on the traditional lean Indian air travel season in August to come up with our truly innovative celebrations. Our offer will enable more & more Indians to experience the pleasures of air travel & truly make it a habit.”
