Acer India; held its 7th quarterly Retail Conference at Phuket from 16th to 19th August 2007. Gathered for the conference were 50 of Acer's top retailers from Acer malls & Acer Points from across the country. Acer was represented by its product management team, retail team and representatives from top management.
The Retail Conference was a mixture of work and play. Acer disclosed their directions for H2 2007 and the technology roadmap across all product lines. Extensive knowledge sharing, in terms of market trends and future product trends from both Acer and their technology partners, is designed to further equip and empower partners during the following quarter. Detailed sessions on product roadmaps, upcoming new technologies and Marketing strategies were shared for.
A Grand Awards Ceremony was also held; all the partners were facilitated for their performance and top awards for Acer retailers in A/B/C and D category cities were given out. The top Acer retailers in the cities were Sound Solutions- Mumbai for A category, IT Park - Hyderabad for B category, Sharda systems - Jaipur bagged the award for 5th consecutive quarter for C category and Simony systems - Guwahati won the award for D category.
Mr. Rajendran, GM - Sales & Marketing, Acer India, said, "The partners that attended this conference were from across the country. What brought them together was that they were our top performers for the first half of the year 2007. With this conference we hope to encourage our partners to greater achievements and strengthen relationships. Their efforts were acknowledged during a special awards night. We shared milestones that Acer has achieved over the last 6 months and an insight into things to come."
The event was co sponsored by AMD, as been actively present at all Acer retail conferences and had a special session with all retailers at the meet.
Acer is probably the only brand in this industry which has these conferences every other quarter. Past destinations of the retail conference include Bali, KL, Bangkok, Dubai, Kumarkom and Goa. The next conference is scheduled towards the end of the year at an exotic destination!
