Bharti Airtel Ltd, India's top mobile operator, expects the government's auction of third-generation wireless spectrum to be completed before the end of the fiscal year in March, a top official said on Friday.

Manoj Kohli, CEO of Bharti Airtel, said the company expected to see signs of consolidation in the crowded telecom industry by next year.
Bharti Airtel,in which Southeast Asia's top phone firm SingTel, reported a small rise in quarterly profit growth, broadly in line with expectations, as a vicious price war hits margins in the booming industry.
