Q: How soon can we expect you to come to a conclusion on the 2G scam?

A: As it is I have to give them 60 days notice under the contract. We have given them 60 days notice. The one man committee will hopefully give its report as soon as possible and we will then come to a conclusion. This is not some kind of street justice that you decide to do something without going through procedures. You want me to decide before the facts come before me. That's what you are saying, I must cancel it immediately.

Q: I am clarify something, no one is asking you to go in for street justice but you are indicating to me aren't you, that the possibility that those licenses issues could be cancelled because of serious irregularities does exists?

A: Of course it all depends on the report and the nature of the findings.

Q: It all depends on the report, so if Shivraj Patil's report and findings warrants that the 2G licenses should be cancelled, you will cancel them?

A: We will see, let the report come. I am not going to through public television make statement I will cancel because tomorrow you will carry a headline "Sibal says he will cancel licences" and that's what the ticker will say tomorrow.

Q: But you are not ruling out the possibility?

A: Prima facie we hold that something was wrong. To what extent it was wrong, what action we will take will depend on the report.
