The D-Day beckons - Pond's Femina Miss India 2006

One more day to go for the most awaited pageant of the year!!! The excitement levels are sky rocketing and expectations are high. Who will be the triumphant one to walk away with the crowning glory?

 

The 25 finalists are waiting in anticipation and bristling with energy. The last 40 days have created bonds of friendship which will be cherished for life. The girls turn to each other for support and strength in the whirlwind of activity around them.

 

Pond's Femina Miss India 2006 (PFMI 2006) is gearing up to dazzle the audience with a heart stopping show! Scintillating performances by Kareena Kapoor, Fardeen Khan choreographed by Ganesh Hegde and directed by 360 Degrees and GS Entertainment, are going to be definite show stealers.  The Band of Boys will mesmerise the audience with their music and vigour. The contestants will walk the ramp choreographed by Mr. Hement Trevedi, the official choreographer and contestant director of PFMI 2006 and Aditi Govitrikar, the Assistant Choreographer.  The contestants will dazzle the evening in sensational creations by Neeta Lulla, Rocky S and Ritu Kumar. The hosts for the evening are none other than the renowned actor Madhavan and the vivacious Mini Mathur to keep the crowds entertained. The programme will be telecast live on Sony Entertainment Television at 8 pm, on the 18^th of March 2006. 

Mr. Munish Purii, National Director, Pond's Femina Miss India 2006 said, "We are sure it is going to be a show to remember. After vigorous training and following a disciplined lifestyle, the moment of glory has arrived for the finalists. The hard work and dedication put in by all of them is ultimately going to bear fruit. " 

Madhavan said, "This year's contestants have been diligently chosen by the judges and trained by the top of the line experts giving them the extra edge. Our Indian designers have made it to the international fashion scenario and now we can have our Indian models creating a niche for themselves, too. "

 

The girls have been trained by eminent personalities like Hemant Trevedi, Deanne Pandey, Aditi Govitrikar, Sabira Merchant, Dr. Shikha Sharma, Dr. Jamuna Pai, Bharat and Dorris, Dabboo Ratnani, Alvira Khan, Dr. Sandesh Mayekar, Erica D'souza, Rukhsana Eisa, Sandip Soparrkar, Dr. Apoorva Shah and Dr. Sonal Shah along with trainers from  Meyhar Basin Academy; each an expert in his field.

 

While Pond's continues its association with Femina Miss India, Pantaloon and Richfeel Trichology Centre are the associate sponsors for this pageant.
