Sharekhan has come out with its rollover report for October 2011 series.
Highlights _ Nifty futures started the October series with 2.05 crore shares in open interest. _ The October series started the month with an open interest of Rs25,398 crore in stock futures, Rs10,162 crore in Nifty futures, Rs47,505 crore in index options and Rs1,717 crore in stock options. _ The Nifty's current month rollover stands at 61.19% vs last month's rollover at 70.88% _ The market wide rollover was 82.89% vs 84.74% last month. _ The strongest rollover was seen in textiles, media, hotel, sugar and transport. _ Fertilisers, cement, trading, and fast moving consumer goods witnessed a poor rollover to the current series. _ The highest price change on the positive side was seen in Arvind Mills , Jaiprakash Associates, Bombay Dyeing, Hexaware Technologies, and DLF. _ Pantaloon Retail, Sun TV , Fortis Healthcare and IFCI were among the top price losers.
