According to Nirmal Bang Research report, for today, strong support for Nifty is placed at 4,860-4,820 and resistance is placed at 4,940.

For today, strong support for Nifty is placed at 4,860-4,820 and resistance is placed at 4,940. Unless we get a strong move beyond 4,940 we don't expect the markets to give any fresh BUY signals. On the lower side only below 4,770 we expect further sell-off and at them time Nifty could even test 4,690-4,610 shortly.
