Asian markets end lower

Asian markets ended lower. China's Shanghai Composite plunged 3.62% or 119.185 points at 3,170.98.   

Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 1.78% or 401.39 points at 22,210.41.    

Japan's Nikkei slid 0.62% or 58.40 points at 9,383.24. Also see: How Indian markets closed.   

Singapore's Straits Times dropped 1.10% or 30.62 points at 2,762.22.   

South Korea's Seoul Composite sank 0.77% or 12.36 points at 1,599.52.    

Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted slumped 0.22% or 17.15 points at 7,739.16.
