At 7: 40 am (IST), Asian markets were trading weak.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng shed 0.61% or 114.42 points at 18,788.78. Japan's Nikkei slipped 1.21% or 102.72 points at 8,385.37. Singapore's Straits Times fell 0.42% or 12.59 points at 2,985.85. South Korea's Seoul Composite was down 1.21% or 21.68 points at 1,772.25. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted shed 0.27% or 18.71 points at 6,989.64.
