Asian markets trading lower; Straits Times, Hang Seng down

At 7: 43 am (IST), Asian markets were trading lower. Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down 0.77% or 164.98 points at 21,384.30.

Japan's Nikkei was flat at 9,548.21.

Singapore's Straits Times was down 0.41% or 12.28 points at 2,983.36.

South Korea's Seoul Composite shed 1.15% or 23.28 points at 2,005.37.

Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was down 0.42% or 33.92 points at 7,967.76.

China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.12% or 2.86 points at 2,406.44.
