At 7: 42 am (IST), Asian markets were trading lower.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng was flat at 18,914.45. Japan's Nikkei shed 0.81% or 70.79 points at 8,663.83. Singapore's Straits Times fell 0.17% or 4.91 points at 2,810.35. South Korea's Seoul Composite was down 0.12% or 2.16 points at 1,823.22. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was down 0.15% or 11.08 points at 7,155.30.
