Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down 0.33% or 64.91 points at 19,453.94. Japan's Nikkei was up 0.99% or 86.53 points at 8,838.84. Singapore's Straits Times shed 0.41% or 11.59 points at 2,844.09. South Korea's Seoul Composite fell 0.38% or 7.23 points at 1,896.89. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted slipped 0.45% or 32.85 points at 7,301.78.
