Asian markets trading higher; Hang Seng, Nikkei up 2%

At 7: 48 am (IST), Asian markets were trading higher. China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.23% or 4.83 points at 2,137.63.


Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 2.04% or 401.47 points at 20,067.65.


Japan's Nikkei gained 1.85% or 158.17 points at 8,713.28.


Singapore's Straits Times added 1.05% or 31.92 points at 3,083.25.


South Korea's Seoul Composite rose 2.05% or 37.91 points at 1,886.59.


Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted advanced 1.28% or 92.66 points at 7,310.17.
