Asian markets trading higher; Hang Seng, Nikkei gain

Asian markets trading higher; Hang Seng, Nikkei gain
At 7: 48 am (IST), Asian markets were trading higher. China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.27% or 5.78 points at 2,163.40.


Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.21% or 42.95 points at 20,115.50


Japan's Nikkei gained 1.65% or 145.42 points at 8,948.73.


Singapore's Straits Times was flat at 3,067.90.


South Korea's Seoul Composite added 1.36% or 25.67 points at 1,912.47.


Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was up 0.46% or 33.60 points at 7,329.06.
