At 7:48 am (IST), Asian markets were trading firm.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.34% or 67.10 points at 20,065.82. Japan's Nikkei advanced 0.53% or 46.22 points at 8,772.51. Singapore's Straits Times rose 0.43% or 13.13 points at 3,084.95. South Korea's Seoul Composite was flat at 1,887.85. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was flat at 7,290.92.
