Asian markets finished lower. Japan's Nikkei closed down 81.17 points or 0.49% at 16,611.59.
Singapore's Straits Times was down 31.85 points or 1.19% at 2,637.70.
South Korea's Seoul Composite ended down 5.42 points or 0.40% at 2,637.70.
Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was down 76.29 points or 1.07% at 7,075.13.
However, Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 4.64 points or 0.03% at 18,014.84.
Indonesia's Jakarta Composite was up 5.038 points or 0.32% at 1,566.82.
