Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.20% or 38.91 points at 19,467. Japan's Nikkei rose 0.34% or 30.30 points at 8,927.18. Singapore's Straits Times gained 0.62% or 18.29 points at 2,947.37. South Korea's Seoul Composite was up 0.14% or 2.62 points at 1,838.75. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was flat at 7,311.48.
