Syndicate Bank to cut base rate by 25 bps

Syndicate Bank will cut base rate by 25 bps to 10.50% and BPLR by 25 bps to 14.75% from May 1. They will also cut deposit rates on some tenure from April 23, reports CNBC-TV18.

LIC has increased stake in the bank by 4.70% (purchase via open market and  pref allotment). The total stake now at 14.52%.


At 10:55 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 111, up Rs 0.50, or 0.45%. It touched an intraday high of Rs 111.55 and an intraday low of Rs 110.


It was trading with volumes of 16,719 shares. In the previous trading session, the share closed down 0.14% or Rs 0.15 at Rs 110.50.


The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 18.28 per share. (Dec, 2011). The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 6.07. The latest book value of the company is Rs 111.07 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 1. The dividend yield of the company was 3.33%.
