ICAI has urged firms to reveal their MTM losses on all outstanding derivative contracts in their balance sheets this qtr. So, what does this move mean for India Inc? Experts feel it will clear the air on outstanding derivative contracts. Shashank Khade of Kotak Secs said there may be cases of smaller cos having exposure equal to their networth.

The ICAI has urged companies to reveal their mark to market (MTM) losses of all outstanding derivative contracts, in their balance sheets this quarter. The ICAI has said that the companies should reveal their mark-to-market losses of all outstanding derivative contracts under AS 30 norms (Accounting Standard) norms.
