More than 80% of forex earning for Venezuela comes from oil exports...Already they are in the cliff as most of their oil is being used to pay earlier debts (so no forex from that oil)...so if oil crashes further, then the country might go bankrupt - unless bailed out by China...

Vinciji, hydel power is the major source if power in venezuela. In summer they voukd struggle to priduce oil if there is a drought. However estinated imapct is only 20% loss of production for this year.

I think a collapse of Venezuela is the only option left for the Saudi...But that will be difficult as China and others have lent billions to Venezuela and they will keep the country afloat...Besides, the IMF can also chip in if the govt collapses...

. Venezuela economy crash may also not impact the price as other war affected countries have started pumping more and will the gaps. It will be interesting. But my bet is that increase in flyers and aviation boom for under 1000 km travel will change the landscape of aviation sector.

Hey hey... oil in the range of 50 - 55 was always required to enable Shale production hedging and increasing the rig count...it also enables Venezuela to stay afloat...keep going with the 27 - 58 range messages...Till then, Spicejet will enjoy the range bound Crude...

Oil at 25 was never expected nor desired...it would have bankrupted Venezuela long back...What you still do not get is the fact that Spicejet has been able to pass on the crude price increase successfully to the customers without sacrifing its yields ...
