Today, the global markets are rallying. However, Anantha Nageswaran, senior economist of Asianomics says, the rally is not sustainable. In his view, the stock markets are the best place to be avoided at this point in time.

V Anantha Nageswaran of Asianomics feels that the rally seen by most of the globe is a suckers rally, not just in the global markets, but also in markets like India. He also indicated that Merkel and Sarkozy will not solve the problems of the euro zone with their accord to recapitalize banks, even if it comes through in three-four weeks time.
