The Indian stock market might dread a possible US recession but Indian pharma companies seem unfazed by slowdown fears, reports CNBC-TV18s Vikas Dandekar. As contract research, manufacturing and big and small generic players are not expecting to be hit by a possible slowdown, the drug industry here seems prepared to do well in adverse conditions.

Dr Prakash Mody, CMD, Unichem Laboratories says that the company will have a higher growth rate in the second half of the year. He adds that, they posted good Q2 results on the back of strong domestic and international business, wherein exports grew by 67%.
