Bank of India plans 130 branches this fiscal

Bank of India is on a branch network expansion spree. The bank has obtained license for opening 130 branches this fiscal. We have inaugurated around 100 new branches so far, taking the total branch network to 2,978, said Mr T.S. Narayanaswamy, its Chairman and Managing Director.

Reacting to Reserve Bank of Indias announcement to cut the cash reserve ratio by 150 basis points this morning the 150-point cut includes the 50-bps cut announced on October 11 experts are of the view that the cut will help infuse liquidity into the cash-starved markets.
