JK Tyres said that it would start producing company branded truck tyres from the facility of its recently acquired Mexican company Tornel. The company would continue to produce both the brands JK Tyre and Tornel for the markets in North and South America.

At 10:11 am, JK Tyre was quoting at Rs 124.80, up Rs 8.45, or 7.26%. The company has acquired 100% of Mexican Tyre Co Tornel for Rs 270 crore, reports CNBC-TV18. It was trading with volumes of 6,839 shares. On Friday the share closed down at Rs 116.35.
