Financial stress, hazy policy environment in telecom sector

Telecommunications, which contributes around 3 percent of GDP, has greatly contributed to accelerated economic and social growth in the country. The sector has now grown to a total subscriber base of 893.15mn in January 2013 supported by huge investments in active and passive infrastructure which are required for the telecom sector, says CARE.
