The weekly food inflation eased to 4.35%, lowest in nearly four years. According to Taimur Baig, chief India economist at Deutsche Bank AG, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is likely to focus on growth, discounting the inflation risks. He believes India GDP for FY11-12 to be at 7%.

With the July-September quarter GDP growth numbers all set to be revealed on Wednesday, Taimur Baig, chief economist, India Global markets research at Deutsche Bank says it may be the best number we see in a while, going forward. However, he sees the growth falling below the 7% mark in the October to December quarter.
